As someone who nearly lost her life years ago during one of two difficult pregnancies, MetroHealth President & CEO Dr. Airica Steed is steadfast in making sure care for moms and babies is a top priority.

Here is her story.

“The care I’ve been yearning for my entire life.”

That’s how MetroHealth’s new President and CEO, Dr. Airica Steed, describes maternal health care at MetroHealth. As someone who nearly lost her life years ago during one of two difficult pregnancies, she’s steadfast in making sure care for moms and babies is a top priority.

And now, that comprehensive, high-quality care is delivered in MetroHealth’s state-of-the-art Birthing Center and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), which opened earlier this year.
