Finding a new provider — because you just moved to the area or got a new health plan — can be a pain.
MetroHealth makes it easy to choose a primary care provider or specialist.

You will see our “Find a Doctor/Medical Provider” page.

Choose from the following options:

  • Department or specialty: From the drop-down menu, choose from among nearly 60 medical departments and specialties, including primary care. This display shows all the medical providers in that department.
  • To find a specialist: Type the specialty (“diabetes” or “endocrinology” if you’re looking for diabetes care, for example). If you know a doctor’s name, you can also find it using our Providers A-Z List
  • Search by location: You can find a medical provider with office hours at any of MetroHealth’s 19 locations throughout Ohio.
  • Search by gender: You can see a male or female doctor.
  • Search by ages treated: You can choose whether the provider treats adults, children or seniors. Some providers, such as family medicine doctors, may treat more than one age group.
  • Search by additional languages: Our doctors and medical providers come from diverse backgrounds and cultures; we offer care in 20 languages.
  • Other search options: You can click the “accepting new patients” box to narrow down results to doctors who can see new patients, or “virtual care” to find physicians who see patients via video or phone, which can be helpful for many people and conditions.
  • Review and choose providers: After you narrow your search, you will see providers who match your needs. You can then view each profile for more information, such as patient reviews, insurance accepted, educational background and clinical expertise.
Ready to make an appointment?

Providers accepting new patients will have a “Schedule Online” button on their profile. Click on it and follow the prompts. If you have a MetroHealth MyChart account, your appointment will be linked to it. If a provider profile has a “Get Care Today” button, that means you can see them for a virtual care visit that same day. You can also request an appointment with a specialist using our online request form.
A MetroHealth representative will get back to you in three to five business days.
