Expanded Hours for In Person Care

With competing demands from work, family, school and everything else, finding time for your health can be a challenge—especially when your provider’s office is across town and has limited hours.

At MetroHealth, our goal is to meet you where you are and make healthcare more convenient and centered on you. Over the past few months, we’ve been excited to announce expanded hours. See how we’re continuing these efforts to make getting primary care easier for our community.

What is Virtual Primary Care, and How Does It Work?

In-person care is great, but it may not work for everyone. That’s where virtual care can help. When it feels impossible to visit your provider in person, you can receive expert care from anywhere, using your smartphone, tablet or computer.

We offer three types of virtual care. We also coordinate any virtual care you receive with your other in-person and virtual providers. Plus, we store all your information in one medical record that you can view at any time.

  • Virtual Urgent Care
Virtual urgent care is helpful when you have unexpected medical concerns that need attention immediately but aren’t severe enough to require the emergency room. Examples include cold and cough symptoms, allergies, nausea, pink eye and yeast infections. These appointments typically last 15 minutes.
  • Same-Day Virtual Care
Same-day virtual care is a go-to solution for unexpected, immediate needs, such as medication refills and questions about medical conditions. These visits allow you to choose a time during the day that works for you and doesn’t require any travel. Appointments usually last 15 minutes.
  • Scheduled Virtual Primary Care
Scheduled virtual primary care allows for in-depth discussions about your health, preventive care and how to manage long-term (chronic) conditions, such as diabetes or high blood pressure. The benefit of virtual primary care is that you can build a lasting relationship with a primary care provider from the comfort of your home. Your appointment usually takes about 20-30 minutes.
