Best Grilled Chicken Marinade – Simple, Healthy & Delicious
From allrecipes.com, this is one of Ms. Bier’s favorite chicken recipes that is both mouthwatering and grill-ready.
Ingredients
- 5 boneless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/4 low sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 1/2 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp ground basil
- 1/2 tsp ground oregano
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Directions
- In a bowl, mix together the vinegar, soy sauce, olive oil, parsley, basil, oregano, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Pour the marinade into a large plastic bag that can seal.
- Add the chicken to the bag. Make sure the chicken is fully covered with the marinade.
- Press out extra air from the bag and seal it tightly.
- Place the bag in the fridge and let the chicken marinate for at least 4 hours.
- When ready to cook, heat your grill to medium-low heat. Lightly oil the grill so the chicken doesn’t stick.
- Take the chicken out of the bag. Throw away the leftover marinade.
- Place the chicken on the grill. Cook for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side.
Cook’s Notes
The chicken is done when it is no longer pink inside. Use a thermometer if you have one. The inside should reach 165°F.
Tips for Best Results
- Don’t marinate too long if using a lot of acid (like lemon juice).
- Use fresh ingredients for the best taste.
- You can use this marinade for chicken breasts, thighs, or drumsticks.
Why This Recipe Is a Good Choice
This marinade uses simple, whole ingredients. It is a healthier way to add flavor without heavy sauces or extra sugar.
