Best Grilled Chicken Marinade – Simple, Healthy & Delicious

This simple marinade helps make your chicken juicy, tender, and full of flavor. You only need a few basic ingredients, and it takes just a few minutes to mix.

From allrecipes.com, this is one of Ms. Bier’s favorite chicken recipes that is both mouthwatering and grill-ready.

Ingredients

  • 5 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp ground basil
  • 1/2 tsp ground oregano
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the vinegar, soy sauce, olive oil, parsley, basil, oregano, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  2. Pour the marinade into a large plastic bag that can seal.
  3. Add the chicken to the bag. Make sure the chicken is fully covered with the marinade.
  4. Press out extra air from the bag and seal it tightly.
  5. Place the bag in the fridge and let the chicken marinate for at least 4 hours.
  6. When ready to cook, heat your grill to medium-low heat. Lightly oil the grill so the chicken doesn’t stick.
  7. Take the chicken out of the bag. Throw away the leftover marinade.
  8. Place the chicken on the grill. Cook for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side.

Cook’s Notes

The chicken is done when it is no longer pink inside. Use a thermometer if you have one. The inside should reach 165°F.

Tips for Best Results

  • Don’t marinate too long if using a lot of acid (like lemon juice).
  • Use fresh ingredients for the best taste.
  • You can use this marinade for chicken breasts, thighs, or drumsticks.
